Jaw Contouring

Jaw Contouring is a surgical procedure that reshapes the jawline and mandible to create a more defined, balanced, or harmonious facial appearance. It can sharpen and strengthen the jaw for a more masculine look or soften prominent angles for a more feminine contour, depending on your goals.

Performed by Dr. Adibfar at Element Toronto, this procedure is often requested as part of facial masculinization or feminization surgery, or simply to improve facial proportions.

The surgery is best performed once facial bones are fully developed. Dr. Adibfar will evaluate your bone structure, skin elasticity, and desired outcome to plan the approach. Through small incisions inside the mouth or discreet external cuts, the jaw bone is carefully contoured, reduced, or augmented using specialized instruments.

Risks include swelling, bruising, temporary numbness or changes in sensation, asymmetry, and rare complications such as infection. Dr. Adibfar will discuss all risks and benefits with you during your consultation.
Most patients return to work within 1–2 weeks. Swelling gradually subsides over several weeks, with final results visible after 3–6 months.
